Dr. Marcel Jacomet is professor for microelectronics at Biel School of Engineering (Bern University of Applied Sciences, Berner Fachhochschule) and head of MicroLab-I3S as well chairman of I3S (Interdisciplinary Institute of Integrated Systems, formed by 6 professors with their laboratories and staff) and Microswiss-BE network (member of national Microswiss-Network), consisting of all four microelectronics laboratories in Biel, Bern Burgdorf and Saint Imier within the Berner Fachhochschule.
